Hi Brajesh,
I'm trying to use a shortcode on a Page to display the FB login button. I tried [fb-login] your login text here[/fb-login] as suggested here: http://buddydev.com/plugins/buddypress-facebook-connect-plus/documentation/#shortcode
but it doesn't display the button on my page for some reason.
Any ideas?

Hi Brajesh,
I've had a problem with two users now when they register for my site via BuddyPress and then tie the account to their FB account.
When they first create an account all is well. However, when they connect their account to FB problems arise.
It seems to have linked his account with the wpadmin account. His profile picture from FB is now on the wpadmin user and when he logs in with his FB creds it shows wpadmin has logged in. If he logs in using his original credentials (not via FB Connect) all is well.
What could be causing this?
Rob

Hi! I’m quite desperate trying to get this right. Problem is with BP Gallery plugin, I’ve included the
<?php get_header('buddypress') ?>
and the
<?php get_footer('buddypress') ?>
, and it indeeds gets the styling, BUT the menu bar below the main tab bar gets this DIV styling:
<div class="item-list-tabs bp-content-tabs no-ajax" id="subnav">
. In the php files is like this: “item-list-tabs no-ajax”, and THIS is the way it should be.
These are the screenshots:
WRONG:
http://planetacanalla.arscivitas.com/wrong.jpg
RIGHT: (as it should be)
http://planetacanalla.arscivitas.com/right.jpg
It just keeps the same styling for the upper tabs in the navigation bar below. Any ideas of how could I set the navigation bar styling right?

Thanx for your help!!

I just wanted to follow up - I changed my theme to Huddle (was using Mingle before) and it seems the Facebook connect module works as expected now. The user will connect with FB, and then their FB image is their BP image.

I notice you then have to go to Settings, enable use of Avatar, and then go to profile > Edit image just to update your profile image to something else.

So I change the Avatar. Log off. Then login again using Facebook connect - it changed my image BACK to the FB image.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior? Shouldn't it maintain the uploaded Avatar?

Hi,
I have a problem with populating BuddyPress Profile Fields. Some fields auto-populate from Facebook with the plugin which is great, but I need to have the new member fill out some other fields by hand as they register. These are fields which Facebook does not have, but I need. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks,

Hello folks,

Just installed BP Gallery on my site and it's completely messed up the layout of the site. The sidebar has been pushed down, there is no white background to the gallery, it's all over the place. Also, I couldn't seem to manage multiple image uploads. Even if I CTL+SELECTed images, only the last image selected would upload.

Here's a screen shot of what the site looks like on the Profile/ Gallery page with BP Gallery activated - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v628/Dougy2040/site_gallery.jpg

I'm using WordPress 3.3.1 with BuddyPress 1.5.3.1 and the Suffusion theme (http://aquoid.com/news/themes/suffusion/)

Hi there, I bought a premium membership because I want to use the facebook connect+ plugin. Unfortunately I'm having a few issues that I hope you can help me fix. I've spent a few hours getting my head around exactly what the problem is and I've summarised my findings below to make it easier for you.

1) When a newcomer visits the site and uses the login with facebook feature, upon successful connection with facebook they are redirected to the login page for the website. This also happens for those who have already connected via facebook and wish to log in. Surely they should be redirected to the homepage as they are now logged in? They can re-enter the website homepage address and they can use the site as normal, it would appear that the only issue is the unneccessary redirect to the login page. How do I stop this?

It would be better if you could implement a feature whereby I could redirect them to a page of my choice based on both first time connection and/or future connections! This would mean upon first connection I could have a user redirected to a page where they can fill out the rest of their profile, then on future connects they are just redirected to the homepage. Or even better still if I could say the first of every x amount of logins the redirect goes to the page prompting them to update their profile.

2) While a user is logged into both facebook, and my BuddyPress site (via facebook, if they log out of the website, they are also logged out of facebook. How can I stop this?

3) Say a user is logged into a facebook account (lets call it fb-account-A) that is not linked to any buddypress profiles on the site... if that user then logs into a BuddyPress profile (which is linked itself to a different facebook account (say fb-account-B) they then can't log out of BuddyPress. The only way the user can log out is to first log out of facebook. This could pose a major problem to people who share computers and use the site (for instance if person A doesn't log out of their facebook then person B logs into the Buddypress site).

It has also made testing quite difficult (until I figured out what the problem was)

4) How can I put the "log in with facebook" button elsewhere on the site? Currently it is only on the login page, I would like it to be in the widget area for logged out users.

I would really appreciate your help on this.

Keep up the good work!

Dave

According to the instructions I added the Gallery file to BP-Default main directory and uploaded and activated BP-Gallery in the plugins section (without the Gallery directory that I had uploaded to the theme directory). Then I went to do the settings according the tittle above and the option BP-Gallery Settings is not there.

Please mind that I am using WP 3.3.1, BP 1.5.2, multisite.

I had it working on my site at one point but now when I press the "sign up" link, it just doesn't do anything. Then if I click it enough times I won't be able to click anything on the page anymore and will be forced to close the window. Also, even when I had it working, when it sent the registration key, it wouldn't include the actual key. It had the link to activate but did not have the key at the end of link.

Hi, I've been trying to get your plugins to work with my BuddyPress site, and I've mostly used http://premium.wpmudev.org plugins and Blogs.mu BuddyPress Theme. I've created the Gallery page, but when I click it, it's blank. When I'm in the dashboard logged as admin I can see the Gallery Settings under the BuddyPress Tab. What Can I do to make it all work?

Do users simply get the option of adding new media in their "Post Update" section? I don't see anything new after adding your plugin. Thanks for the help!

Posted this on buddypress.org, wordpress.org, now paying for a membership to post here (as well as to try out themes, etc.):

Just updated to WP 3.3.1 and latest buddypress. I knew there'd be issues...

No matter what theme I use, the feature "Associate a WordPress Page with each BuddyPress component directory." is not outputting to the page I've specified. Tried associating with a new page, nada. Members, Forum, Search, Activity, ALL work, just Classes does not - just yields a white screen.

I have no way to display a list of groups to my members except to manually create one - each individual group works, just can't get the directory to show up.

Please advise. Willing to pay somebody to fix this. I have been racking my brain. Tried reinstalling BP, no dice :(

I don´t know why this message is appearing and in my multisite I provide much more space to my users. Why does it say 10MB?

Besides only one song or a video, or 10 photos may already use up the 10MG.

Is there a way to eliminate this message and to expand the 10MG to more space?

Thx, Donald.

PS: your products are the best!!! I hate WPMUDEV.org!!!!!

I have a clean install of WP 3.3 and BP 1.5.2 and Facebook Connect 1.0.2.2. Default BP theme is in use. When I get to the login screen and click the FB button nothing happens.

Also, should this plugin integrate with registration for new users? If so I'm not seeing anything on the BP reg page.

Hello, I cannot get any widget to function in the home page main column top widget area. The same widget will work fine in other areas though. Do I need to enable it somehow?

I can't see to get the Global Forum WYSIWYG Editor plugin to work (http://benjaminstewart.info/forum/). I currently have forums associated with groups. Could this be causing the problem? Are there other settings I should check?

Brajesh, hi,

Is there a means by which to publish an individual photo/video to the activity stream rather than bulk publishing. For example, from the Edit Photo/Videos tab, within the loop, is there some code I can place in the loop that will allow the user to specifically choose which media item they want to publish to the stream, one at a time?

Additionally, I've looked through the forum and I can't find any complete details on the following: From the activity stream itself, it seems the non-flash upload a photo/video process is not working. Is that the case? Is only the flash upload working directly from activity stream? If so, do you have some code I can use to get it to work with the non-flash upload. Basically what's happening is that when I browse, choose a photo, then select the gallery from the pulldown, then upload, the form begins to submit but gets hung up on wp-load.php, and then i get a blank white screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Brajesh,
I have added a View Gallery button in activity_meta when a new gallery is created in the activity streams by using this code :

function bp_activity_gallery_entry_meta() {

	if ( bp_get_activity_object_name() == 'gallery' && bp_get_activity_type() == 'new_media_update' ) {?>
        <a class="button item-button bp-secondary-action view-activity-new-gallery" href="????????">View gallery</a>
    <?php }

	if ( bp_get_activity_object_name() == 'groups' && bp_get_activity_type() == 'new_media_update' ) {?>
        <a class="button item-button bp-secondary-action view-activity-new-group-gallery" href="??????">View gallery</a>
    <?php }
}
add_action('bp_activity_entry_meta', 'bp_activity_gallery_entry_meta');

Could you please help me to make the link point to the gallery? I don't know what to add for href="".

Thanks for your help
