@brajesh
I tested with a vimeo url in the activity stream and oembed worked fine but in the global forums, it doesn't work at all. In fact, it doesn't show anything on the post at all. I thought it was showing the url as just text but it turns out that it's not displaying at all.Could this be theme related?

Found a bug clicking on "edit topic" - the screen only partially loads.

Also, it would be nice to enable forum-specific moderators, without all mods moderating all forums.
Maybe even show the moderator(s) username(s) and avatar(s) in the forum header?
Posted 1 year ago # -
Enabling forum-specific moderators would be great also! I just can't wait for it to be functional for my members, I tried deactivating certain plugins but it doesn't seem to change anything:(

To be honest, I had a few small issues for the last 2-3 days, so could not do anything major. I plan to solve all the issue today for everyone. Let us hope for the best.The user management will be part of our next major release and will include forum specific moderators(I am concerned about what rights you want to allow them, can they ban members ? )
Posted 1 year ago # -
For me it wouldn't matter if they could ban them or not but I guess that all depends on what type of forums people are running. Maybe there could be mods & admins, giving admins ability to ban but moderators are unable to?
Hopefully everything is going well!

Is it possible to enable a filter that would include/exclude the Group Forum topics from the siteforum topics?
Posted 1 year ago # -
I keep thinking that there needs to be one page that either auto refreshes or is refreshed when a new record is written to the database via some jquery or push code. Is there a page that does this? Is this being considered?

Tiny glitch...
Paragraph spacing doesn't show like it does in the editor. Paragraphs are there, but line spacing between then disappears.
Posted 1 year ago # -
@Roy
Yes, you can enable/disable that. currently, It is segregated, if you want group forum topics to appear in global forum, please let me know. I have posted the code in another thread, will link here.@Greg
seems like wpautop issue, that filter automatically formats the text and inserts paragraphp.@ambientgirl
Just installed the set of all the plugins you had mentioned above, so, I will have some update in next couple of hours.Posted 1 year ago # -
Wonderful, looking forward to seeing the update!
Posted 1 year ago # -
Yes, Brajesh, I would like the code to allow for filtering the siteforums page. I would even like to replace the Forums link with the siteforums if the filtering is available.
Is the filtering code what you are speaking of or are you speaking of code that simply includes group forums like the first release?
Ideally a filtering mechanism is desired. Similar to what is available on the activity stream? Include in the filter My activity, Recent Activity, Activity since last visit, Remove Groups, Reset filter, etc.?
Thank you.

@catfrommars
Thanks a ton for providing access to your site. I was able to diagnose the issue there and it helped in knowing the bug. I have fixed it on your server, so you may not need to upgrade@ambientgirl
Please upgrade to this one.
http://buddydev.com/http//buddydev.com/download/global-forum%201.0.2.zipThere was a bug in breadcrumb on single topic page, which was giving errors, I believe this will fix the issue
http://buddydev.com/http//buddydev.com/download/global-forum%201.0.2.zipPlease do let me know if it works or not.
@Roy
yes, I am speaking of the code to allow the same thing as it was in beta release.
Do you want the filtering to appear on forum page and filter out group forums posts from global forum posts, would not that be much confusing. I think, mixing these two will be highly confusing in the first place.Posted 1 year ago # -
@brajesh
Excellent! Installed v1.0.2 and it solved the issue with wp-dp.php.
Thank you Brajesh! Now back to styling...

Hi Patrick
Thanks for confirming, I was really bugged by that bug :D
Looking forward to your styling.Posted 1 year ago # -
@brajesh
Here it is:
http://rspace.org/siteforumsI've styled it to mimic the look of all other directories, specifically the group forums:
http://rspace.org/forums/My site has been going through some major styling changes lately, so if you look around, some pages will still look really weird.
One thing I'm rather happy with is the logged-in home page which is quite different from when logged-out (I'm rebuilding the graphics for that part as we speak!). I finally managed to widgetize the page thanks to some good examples in CosmicBuddy, which I downloaded just to study! If you like, you can take a look by logging in as user="buzzer" pass="123abc456".
On that note, there's something I still haven't figured out: how to display gallery items in the Sitewide Gallery Widget horizontally rather than vertically. I'll get it eventually... :-)
Posted 1 year ago # -
Hi Patrick
Just checked it. looks exactly as the group forum. btw, you have created a cool child theme and I see the differences from last time I visited it. cool!
The password does not works though, so could not login.I am here to help you anytime you want the galleries to be horizontally. A balance dose of float:left will help :)
Posted 1 year ago # -
@brajesh
Sorry... no quotes
user = buzzer
pass = 123abc456Umm... what mysterious file contains the elusive div where I can dose some float:left?
Posted 1 year ago # -
@brajesh
Me again :-)
Just noticed there's no "Favorite" link on topic page when logged in as a user. It's there, and it works, when logged in as admin though. Something missing somewhere?
Posted 1 year ago # -
Brajesh it works!!!!!!! You are a rockstar! Thank you so so so so much!

one of the styling is for Sitewide Gallery Widget which will render horizontal gallery itemsPosted 1 year ago # -
@mercime
Bingo!
Again, my memory failed me (that 3-month-old post got buried deep in a bottom drawer).
I just had to change the sidebar id to sitewide-galleries-sitewide and... snap!... horizontal .
Thanks Mercime!
Posted 1 year ago # -
@Patrick
Please check again. It should appear for any logged in user.@ambientgirl
Thanks Nicky, I am glad this fixed the issue :)@mercime
Thanks for the gallery css and link , you saved me a ton of time :)Posted 1 year ago #
