What do you do to keep users active?

1. Hi, I would love to see other peoples sites they've created just to see how they encourage their users to stay active, and to see the creativity. I think the wire will be the best bet to get users writing to each other, but still looking for other ways. How do you keep users active?

   can some of you post some of your sites, just so i can see examples. :-)
   Im just curious and anxious to see other networking sites and layouts, and to hear from other people on how they keep their members active.

   We're an indie artist community and many of us sell online. My members write blog posts, upload pictures and use the chatroom lots. I'm still waiting on the new release of the global forums but they use the group forums for now.
   I guess the activity all depends on what kind of site you are running:)
